Nope. TFOTA takes place in the same universe as the Modern Faerie Tales but is not a sequel to it. some characters from the Modern Faerie Tales appear in TFOTA but other than that the two series aren't really connected. They are separate stories, and Jude is only first introduced in the cruel prince :)
