Biography[]
The Queen of Nothing[]
Bryern hires Jude to extract a promise from Grima Mog to stop eating the local Folk, offering her five hundred dollars. Jude counters his offer with fifteen hundred, and Bryern compromises with a thousand dollars, paying her half up front.
The Honest Folk[]
Heather seeks Bryern's help to break the spell Vivienne placed on her, which made her forget all about faeries. Bryern explains that the spell was set by Mother Marrow, and only she can remove it. As payment, he takes a lock of Heather's sewn-in hair.
How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories[]
Jude and Cardan travel to the mortal world after Bryern requests Jude's help, saying she owes him a favor for hiring her when no one else would. They meet with him in the woods between Heather's apartment complex and the highway, where Bryern describes the situation of the monster and Queen Gliten's Court. He gives Jude a map, and Jude accepts the job.
