Insear, also known as the Isle of Ash, was created by King Cardan. The island is part of Elfhame, making it the fourth, and newest, island in the kingdom.
History[]
The island was created by Cardan during a show of power between Elfhame and the Undersea. Cardan created the island to show Queen Orlagh of the Undersea his power. He wanted to demonstrate that he could destroy her kingdom by getting rid of the sea. He used Insear to trap Nicasia, forcing Orlagh to back down from attacking the land in order to save her daughter.
